We ate here when staying overnight at at Premier inn. Meal was ok, BUT when paying using Gpay waiter stated payment did not go through and went and got an other machine and this time he stated it did go through. However when i looked at my bank statement they had charged me twice for he same amount within 2 minutes. A month later still not resolved and no refund. Don't know if this is a SCAM operated by the staff or Premier Inn!

Ordered roast dinner and was handed a very hot plate with no meat on it! The medium steak was like a bit of old leather, and when we finally got the roast beef it was mostly fat and cut bigger than the steaks. Not sure where the carrots magically disappeared to on the second attempt at the roast dinner either. The parsnips weren't cooked and everything was too salty. The waiting staff were really apologetic and gave us a discount so I can't fault them but they def need to get a new chef as the food was awful. We won't be going back.

I went to MK branch.
So BAD steak I have not eaten in a while. So expensive and totally discussing. The only thing was good is haloumi fries and desert, that's all.
Honestly I would not waist your money.

We visited Edinburgh Bar and Block. At first we were seated at a small table for 2 that had about 8” of space either side of a table of 8 and another couple to the right. All conversations could be heard. We asked the manager to be moved to a larger table who was reluctant. We explained there was little room for wine food etc. His reply was ‘well that doesn’t matter’… perhaps not to him but the space did to us.
We had a share platter where the food was Luke warm and sent back due to the chicken wings being cold inside!! One steak was cooked fine. The other was ordered medium but arrived well done. Cheese board was freezing and even the Brie was solid. The sundae was pre made with frozen fruit and not fresh fruit. Won’t be back

This restaurant is attached to an premier inn and so I visited from convenience as opposed to choice. The menu looked great, very Steak oriented, but I was happy with that.

I upgraded my sirloin steak from 8oz to 12oz with a total cost of £28

When my meal arrived I felt it was certainly on the small side, both Streak and chips etc. I asked for my steak to be medium well, however it was more like
Medium rare. I hate sending steak back and so decided to eat as is, it was tasty and very nice, although very bloody which is what I hate about rare steaks and why I avoid, if I can.

Overall, nice meal, shame they could not cook my steak as I liked, poor for what seems like a better quality restaurant.

Would not visit again.

First to a Bar+ Block (Aldgate, London) where the service was impeccable and the food was good and pretty much reasonably priced.
After this experience looked in to going for a Sunday roast at nearer home. Disappointed to find no vegan or even vegetarian option so never went.
Would suffice if chose not to have meat but the roast potatoes are "beef dripping" roasties.

Went to the Hammersmith branch as a party of 5 - We all thought the following:

Cocktails were average however missing prosecco with a cocktail and waitress had to be told twice.

Food was very average - wings were cold to warm and undercooked, very fatty and jellish - not nice at all.

Steaks ordered medium - well done - came to us pink and rare had to send back and they still were not done properly as we requested. In addition, steak was small, very fatty and flavourless.

The service received from our waitress was not great, she look like she couldn't be bothered to serve us and huffed and puffed when we queried anything. Also, the waitress was stretching her arm and armpit over our food!

We were not asked if our meal was okay and that is really not good enough. We did not advise about our experiences at the time as we knew we were not returning.

The poor service, quality of food, and prices are not value for money. Overall, attending this Block and Bar was not a good experience and we will definitely not be returning and would not recommend.

You really need to fix up and listen to customers.

Visited The bar and block in Bath 31/3. Lovely place, nice atmosphere. Hannah looked after us really well. The starters were fab, the steaks were lovely as was the pudding! Thanks also to the Chefs - would recommend!

Just wanted to say what great service my family and I had this evening at Bar & Block in Bath. The young lady was a delight, her name was Jemma, she was very informative with attentive to detail. The food was also great too. Thank you, we will be returning soon.

Me and my girlfriend were staying in the Premier Inn in Nottingham to see family just before Christmas, we had breakfast added on with our stay and I have to say, the service at Bar + Block in Chapel Street is nothing short of brilliant! We had a lovely lady who served us (I have sadly forgotten her name though it is written down on a card somewhere so I could write this review ??‍♀️ she was young, long brown hair and a lip piercing) that went out of her way to make sure everything was okay, we had a good laugh with her as well and seen that she was doing an amazing job as a waitress, Bar + Block Chapel St, you need to keep hold of this lovely lady as she is a diamond and made our time at Premier Inn a million times better! The manager was also lovely! Thankyou for making our stay at Nottingham so nice!

Attached to Premier Inn Winnersh. Closed at 7pm on a Sunday?? Seemed to be plenty of people in there and plenty of staff. George pub just across the way so they've lost the business.

Second rate service,second rate food…..
Zero atmosphere

Just average!!!if it weren’t for the Jam Shed Vino it’d be a zero. Chicken wings with no side sauce ?‍♂️ Steak bland ?‍♂️ Poor fries

Sorry updated this after I asked for a new blue cheese sauce!!!! It was like tasteless melted gravy. Just horrendous.

Msg to founder/owner: c’mon. You must be losing an absolute fortune and have little to no repeat. Give this some ambition at least.

They should stick to cooking burgers because roast dinners are definitely not their thing!

Roast beef dinner arrived - looked like it was the days before that had been warmed up, before we began eating, another customer gave us a head's up that the potatoes were rotten inside and black, he was right. Sent back - mash potato offered as replacement but took 20 mins to arrive - we had already eaten what we could on our plate - bit of veg & a 3/10 cauliflower cheese. Bill arrived and we were charged full price, no apology, no visit from manager. Asked for some sort of discount for the trouble, given 25% along with a voucher. Not great at all especially when there is a deal on anyway. Shabby service (from Manager) & mediocre food.

Bar and Block Portsmouth
I had the Fillet steak with mushroom sauce and my wife had the fish and chips, it was delicious. The service from our waitress Jessica was efficient and friendly. Would definitely book again.
